He was 13 years older than me, we travelled through parts of India/Nepal for our honeymoon voyage, spending a month in discourse at Rajneeshpuram, in Pune, with my husband's guru. I am the lucky mamma of our eight blissful, beautiful children, ages 8-24. I have always been an active seeker..completed a double major in art history/ religion in modern art/ thought, at Bowdoin College, Maine. I am currently working overtime to try to raise funding/ materials yo covert my garage into my photography/art studio so I can work from home mainly, fitting with my stay home mommying...I am also filming a documentary now, teaching myself the art of making a digital movie, and writing a book on the same subject..my subject is 102 years young!
2 ~ What is your "JOB" (aka Joy of Being)? What especially delights you?
Photographic portraits, the birth time, life, and any other moments of this blissful life! Writing, painting, sculpture, classical piano, most dance...singing! Gluten free and raw food making, for my eight children, and friends.
3 ~ What would you love to offer to and share with our community?
I am new to your community, but have wished for years to visit you all. However, my husband's illness was very intense, demanded ALL of our resources, so we are just now ready to all help mommy rebuild her career. My birthday is coming the last day of November, and wow would I love to come out there with my youngest 8 year old daughter for a week, to enjoy being with you all, and I can offer photography and/ or help making food..I am drug/ alcohol free, wheat/ sugar free, 100% organic for the past 30 years..this youngest child of mine was 100% raw vegan for her first 6 years, breast feeding that whole 6 years(I was ages 42-48)..my husband's doctor said at one point, what's your wife doing, 'cause by our books, you should have died 6 years ago(I made 100% organic raw vegan for me and my babe, so he could have as much as he wished of raw foods..)
4 ~ What do you value most in life? Which virtues do you most admire in people? And, how do you feel we can deepen, expand and enhance our community?
I do not yet know too much about what you are already doing for community outreach, etc. I just know I am impressed with the ability to give of herself, of Happy..

My two eldest boys are traveling out there soon, in one week..I hope they will be safe(18 and 22), so I sent them a link to your site..do you accept work/ exchange visitors? They are both very helpful, and still healing a lot after the loss of their dad.

SYF Gives Back is something we’ve been doing from the start. Utilizing this event as platform to serve and in our case, we’ve been offering some form of trauma informed yoga training at SYF since the beginning. We have trained hundreds of yoga teachers and brought awareness to the devastating effects of Post Traumatic Stress in our communities across the country. We’ve called this program all sorts of things from Yoga for Veterans and Yoga for First Responders to Yoga for PTSD, with one simple aim: Provide the tools to alleviate the effects of trauma, of suffering. A trauma sensitive yoga training takes into account the specific aspects of traditional yoga practices that ameliorate the effects of trauma and stress on the human nervous system. Yoga is and has always been the healing balm to soothe the injured human nervous system, ergo a Yoga for PTSD training, a trauma sensitive yoga training, trauma informed yoga training… Call it what you will, we know what outcomes have emerged from this training. We know that by training hundreds we have impacted thousands. This year we are going back to our roots, quite literally… as it was the Mindful Yoga Therapy team who were key members of the first cadre we put together for Mindful Therapeutic Yoga Practices for Veterans.
In certain parts of the United States, it’s getting more and more likely that rather than a game of dodgeball in gym class or a round of Heads-up, Seven-up as a break between lessons, students will instead find themselves doing downward-facing dog. The internet is saturated with yoga-based lesson plans, teacher-training courses, and “mindful” music playlists designed for schools, while programs for certified yoga instructors who want to bring their practice onto campus have also gained popularity.
For a growing number of people focusing on matters of consciousness, sacred knowledge and personal freedom, the reclamation of the word sovereign has become profoundly consequential. Within this paradigm, to recognize oneself as a sovereign being is to acknowledge one’s own total spiritual autonomy and unconditional entitlement to self‐determination. It is a primary avowal of oneself as a free and natural human being — not a serf, a subject, a corporate entity, or even a citizen. No persons or man‐made laws have any jurisdiction whatsoever over a sovereign being. This is all very alarming for any empire that secretly prefers its populace to feel toothless.
